I'd say 'anachronistic' would be a good word to describe Gabby Concepcion in his recent attempts to... snatch fame from the jaws of obsolescence. ifail@metaphors.lol
I think I was on my second beer last Saturday night, when a plug of his movie (or TV movie?) came on, and I remarked that he looked like he'd been CUT AND PASTED from the 1970s into 2008. My brother totally cracked up and was like "Exactly!" LOL I thought I was the only one who'd noticed.
Fine, I don't want to risk getting slapped for libel be unfair here; let's give him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe it's not his fault he seems a little out of sync with the... grand scheme of things. Maybe it's because he was out of circulation for such a long time. Maybe it's his awkwardly noticeably rosy cheeks. Or maybe it's because his bangs just scream "last vestige of 80s matinee idol glory." Look:
What point was I trying to make now? Oh right, I wasn't.
Moving on to more current things (OOH C WUT I DID THAR!). The Pacquiao-Diaz match, you see it? Hot damn. Manny Pacquiao is just ASASFALKJHLamazing. Diaz had to be one of his toughest opponents yet. That guy just kept taking punches TO THE FACE and wouldn't go down!!!... until the 9th. :D That was a pretty sweet KO.
Thoughts on Gabby and Manny. LAWL.

Pacquiaaaaaaoooooooooooo! Maaaan actually that fight kinda sucked since Pacquiao dominated through it all and the KO-hit wasn't all that "glorious" either, but just shows how good he is. :D :D :D :D

@abby: Hmm, I actually kind of liked the fight. XD Pacquiao was winning by points throughout, but everyone said Diaz has this way of regaining strength in the final rounds then winning by KO. So I was pretty glad Pacquiao ended the fight when he did. I'm just really impressed, this being his first lightweight fight, so... w00t! ^o^
@kaiz: Ah, but I wouldn't call missing out on the Gabby Concepcion hype a bad thing. XD
